Hill Country Christmas at Schlitterbahn
The new "Hill Country Christmas" at Schlitterbahn New Braunfels is FANTASTIC!!! We got to experience snow (something rare in South Texas), Santa and his reindeer, lights along the river, sledding and ice skating.
The kids told Santa EVERYTHING they wanted for Christmas and were just amazed with him!
Carter kept adding to his "wish list" while talking to Santa and even added a few extra items after we left. Payton kept her list simple and just stared at Santa with a smile.
They have delicious bakery items and we were really surprised at the selection. Instead of wanting hot chocolate, Payton asked for a "Chocolate Latte." Guess she's her mother's child :) It was so funny, but she was very serious!
If you get a chance to go to this new event, it's really worth while! They have done a spectacular job!

Halloween and Soccer
Birthday Week
Carter and Payton are officially FIVE!!! Here are some pics from the past week of non-stop birthday action... complete with three stitches in Payton's chin! She fell last Thursday (their actual bday) and we spent the evening getting "stitched up." Aside from that event, the week was so much fun!
(they take after their mommy)
he's pretty good though and is learning
new "tricks."
Birthday Wish Granted
Can you believe they will be FIVE on the 23rd??? Wow! They really wanted to go to Sea World as part of their birthday present, so we were suckers and granted the wish. They had a blast and can't wait to go back. We haven't been in a while because we spent most of the summer at Schlitterbahn. We really feel lucky to live so close to so many fun places! We will post pictures of the weekend after they officially turn the BIG 5!
Cheer Camp+ Pumpkin Patch + Allergies = another crazy week!
It's still ringing in my ears... Saturday was cheer camp with about 200+ screaming girls in a gym, all under the age of nine! Payton had a blast and it was nice to do something with just her (no boys allowed). The two of us missed Carter's soccer game in which he ended up scoring the only point for his team (he's still in a bad mood because they lost). She will perform a cheer/routine at the half-time show during the high school game on Friday night--stay tuned.
On Sunday we went to the big town of Marion to a pumpkin patch. It was "down home fun!" You know, the kind I really can't stand--sweat, grass, dirt, etc... Anyway, the kids had a blast and we all came away sneezing and coughing from being in the hay--pretty sure we're all allergic to the great outdoors!
