Yes, all the above (plus our regular day-to-day life) happened this week. We need about 30hours in a day to get it all done! Check out our week below:
First Day of Dance and Soccer
Here they are... Pretty darn cute if I must say so! Check out the second pic of Payton---can you tell she likes to strike a pose? Carter wanted me to take "action shots" of him in the hall while he was kicking the ball at the furniture.
It begins...
We have completed our two trial weeks of school, and this week will start the roller coaster!!!
Monday is dance class, Tuesday is soccer practice, Wednesday is children's choir, Thursday is soccer practice, Friday is happy hour (just kidding... well, maybe not), and Saturday is soccer games. AND... Preston is coaching! Not sure we'll survive and I can now feel total sympathy for parents with older kids that are involved in tons of activities. What's their secret to survival??? More importantly, what do they make for dinner when they're never home?
We have had to limit their activities because I don't want it to be too much on them at such a young age.
Payton really wants to be on the "junior cheer squad," but I want to give her another year (she's actually got some skills). She hasn't shown any interest in team sports, and I'm very pleased about that... I'd much rather have her in "girly" stuff (dance, cheerleading, tumbling, choir, etc). Those of you that know me shouldn't be surprised at that... :)
Carter wants to play baseball too, but I think one sport at a time is enough right now. We'll let him play t-ball in the Spring. He's really looking forward to soccer and wants to "make points."
Preston didn't have to go assist with Gustov, and I couldn't be happier!!! He's still busy with work and our never ending "to-do" list around the house. As for me, school has started off pretty good and my students aren't too bad (knock on wood)... but they are teenagers and you never know what will happen next.
